Website Disclaimer

Effective Date: [To be set at launch]  |  Last Updated: May 2026 (draft)

IJustWantToLive.com (the "Site") is a curated online directory operated by I Just Want ("we," "us," or "our"), a nonprofit organization based in Minot, North Dakota. The Site helps consumers discover businesses that meet recognized health, safety, and transparency standards either through verified third-party certifications or through our internal vetting process known as the Audit Trail Pathway.

No Endorsement

The inclusion of a business in our directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of that business, its products, its services, or any specific outcome you may experience from interacting with it. We are not affiliated with any listed business, and no listed business is an agent, partner, or representative of I Just Want or IJustWantToLive.com.

Audit Trail vs. Third-Party Certification

Businesses appear in our directory under one of two pathways:

  • Certified Listings display one or more third-party certification emblems issued by independent certifying bodies (such as USDA Organic, GOTS, EWG Verified, Non-GMO Project, B Corp, or others). We display these emblems based on documentation supplied by the business at the time of application. We do not issue these certifications, do not audit the issuing bodies, and cannot guarantee that a business's certification remains in good standing at any moment after listing.

  • Audit Trail Listings do not hold a recognized third-party certification but have completed our internal vetting process. The Audit Trail is a documented transparency record — not a certification. The criteria reviewed, evidence on file, and date of review are displayed publicly on the business's profile so that consumers can decide for themselves whether the vetting meets their personal standards.

Consumers are encouraged to verify any certification claim or vetting record directly with the issuing body or with the business itself before purchase.

No Warranties

All information on the Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, currency, or suitability of the information provided. Listing information is supplied by businesses and, where applicable, supplemented by publicly available data. We do not independently test, inspect, certify, or guarantee any product or service offered by any listed business.

No Medical, Health, Legal, or Financial Advice

The Site includes categories such as personal care, supplements, food and drink, and household products. Nothing on the Site is medical, health, legal, dietary, or financial advice. Information presented on the Site is for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. Always consult your physician or other qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about diet, supplementation, medication, or treatment.

Certification Emblems and Trademark Notice

All certification emblems, marks, names, and logos displayed on the Site are the property of their respective certifying organizations. We display these marks for identification and informational purposes only, to help consumers recognize the certifications a business claims to hold. Display of a certification mark on the Site does not imply any partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement between I Just Want and the certifying organization.

Information Accuracy and Self-Reporting

Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit, including their certifications, contact information, and the qualifying statements they provide. We make a good-faith effort to confirm certification status at the time of listing through documentation requested during application, but we do not continuously monitor every listed business and cannot guarantee that information remains current. If you believe a listing contains inaccurate or outdated information, please contact us at the address below.

External Links and Third-Party Sites

The Site contains links to third-party websites operated by listed businesses and other parties. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services, privacy practices, or policies. When you leave the Site through a third-party link, your interaction with that site is solely between you and the operator of that site.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I Just Want, IJustWantToLive.com, and our directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind arising from your use of the Site, from any reliance on the information presented on the Site, or from any transaction, communication, or other interaction you may have with a business listed in the directory. You acknowledge and agree that any reliance on the directory is strictly at your own risk.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless I Just Want and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Tax-Deductible Contributions

Because I Just Want intends to operate as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, annual listing fees paid by businesses may qualify as tax-deductible charitable contributions to the extent permitted by law. Businesses should consult their own tax advisor to determine the extent to which they may claim a deduction. This statement is not tax advice.

Any dispute arising from your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Dakota.

Privacy PolicY

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: [To be set at launch]  |  Last Updated: May 2026 (draft)

I Just Want ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website IJustWantToLive.com (the "Site"). We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining your trust. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect two general categories of information:

  • From visitors. When you browse the Site, our hosting platform and analytics tools may automatically collect basic information such as pages viewed, approximate (country-level) location, device and browser type, referring URL, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected in aggregate form and is not used to identify you personally.

  • From businesses applying to be listed. When a business submits a listing application, we collect the business name, mailing address, website, the contact person's name and title, business email and phone number, certification documentation (uploaded as PDF), and an explanation of eligibility where formal certification is not held. If the application is approved and the business proceeds to enrollment, billing information is collected and processed by our payment processor (see Third-Party Service Providers below); we do not store full payment card data on our systems.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

  • To process and manage business listing applications, approvals, and renewals.

  • To communicate with applicant and listed businesses about their listings, certification status, renewals, and changes to our services.

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the performance, security, and user experience of the Site.

  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations applicable to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We do not use your information for advertising, do not build profiles of visitors for marketing, and do not engage in behavioral targeting of any kind.

We Do Not Sell or Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with the service providers described below, and only as required by law or to enforce our terms.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Site. Each is bound by its own privacy policy and contractual data-handling commitments. The principal providers are:

  • Wix — website hosting, content management, and form processing.

  • Stripe — payment processing for approved business listings and any future fee-based services. Stripe handles all payment card data directly; we do not see or store full card numbers.

  • Analytics tooling — basic aggregate traffic and usage measurement to help us understand which parts of the Site are useful to visitors. If we use a third-party analytics provider (such as Google Analytics), we configure it to anonymize IP addresses and disable advertising features wherever the provider permits.

  • Email and communications — our business email (info@ijustwanttolive.com) is hosted by a standard email provider; messages you send us are stored and processed by that provider on our behalf.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. As a general rule:

  • Active business listing records are retained for the duration of the listing plus seven years thereafter, consistent with standard nonprofit financial recordkeeping practices.

  • Application records for businesses that did not proceed to listing are retained for up to two years and then deleted.

  • Aggregate, non-identifying analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

You may request deletion of records that relate to you at any time using the contact information below; we will honor such requests except where we are required to retain information by law.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect the information we hold, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission of data to and from the Site, limited internal access to listing and contact records, and reliance on reputable hosting and payment providers that maintain their own security programs. No system can be guaranteed completely secure; we ask that you notify us promptly if you believe your information has been compromised.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies strictly for essential Site functionality (such as remembering basic session preferences) and anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies; doing so may affect some features of the Site.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for an adult, general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in the United States, or from minors below the age of consent in any other jurisdiction. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may at any time:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

  • Request that we correct inaccurate information.

  • Request that we delete information about you, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it.

  • Withdraw your consent to receive non-essential communications from us.

Residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, and certain other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA where applicable). We honor these rights regardless of whether the law strictly requires us to. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.

Visitors from Outside the United States

The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that information collected through the Site will be processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the Site for a reasonable period before they take effect. Continued use of the Site after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Service

Welcome to IJustWantToLive.com (the "Site"), operated by I Just Want ("we," "us," or "our"), a nonprofit organization. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Our Service

IJustWantToLive.com is an online directory and educational resource that connects consumers with businesses that meet recognized standards of health, safety, and transparency. We do not sell products, do not operate as a marketplace, and do not facilitate transactions between consumers and listed businesses on the Site. Transactions, if any, occur directly between the consumer and the business on the business's own website.

2. Use of the Directory by Consumers

The Site is freely available for general use without creating an account. You agree to use the Site lawfully, in good faith, and in accordance with these Terms. You may not scrape, harvest, copy, or re-publish the directory in whole or in any substantial part without our prior written permission. You may not use the Site to harass any listed business or to misrepresent any listed business's certifications, practices, or claims.

3. Business Listings — Application and Approval

Businesses may apply to be listed by submitting an application through the Site. Acceptance into the directory is at our sole discretion. We may decline an application for any lawful reason, including but not limited to: failure to demonstrate eligibility under the listing standards in effect at the time of application, inability to verify a claimed certification, evidence of deceptive marketing or unsubstantiated health claims, an unresolved pattern of substantiated consumer complaints, or a category fit that does not align with the directory's mission.

Listed businesses are required to:

  • Provide accurate and current business information, including business name, contact person, business email, business phone, and mailing address.

  • Provide documentation supporting any certification they wish to display (such as a current certificate or letter from the certifying body).

  • Notify us promptly if a displayed certification lapses, is suspended, or is revoked.

  • Operate in accordance with the standards they represent themselves as meeting.

4. Audit Trail Pathway

Businesses that do not hold a recognized third-party certification but meet our internal vetting criteria may be listed under the Audit Trail Pathway. The Audit Trail is a publicly displayed transparency record summarizing the criteria reviewed and the documentation on file at the time of review. The Audit Trail is not a third-party certification and does not represent independent verification. We may, in our sole discretion, modify the Audit Trail criteria, decline an Audit Trail application, or remove a business from the Audit Trail Pathway at any time.

5. Founding Member Terms

The first 100 businesses approved for listing are recognized as Founding Members. The Founding Member group is permanently capped and will not be re-opened once filled. Founding Members receive their first year of listing at no cost, with no payment information collected at the time of enrollment. Founding Members further receive the discounted multi-year pricing described in the Master Proposal's Pricing Structure at the time of enrollment; these discounts are locked for the lifetime of continuous active membership at the base rate in effect at the time of enrollment, subject to the rate increase policy in Section 8.

6. Business Accounts and Dashboard

Approved businesses will have access to a private dashboard to manage their listing details, upload or update certification documentation, view basic analytics for their listing, and manage their subscription and renewal preferences. Account holders are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and for any activity that occurs on their account.

7. Payment, Approval, and Refunds

No payment is collected at the time of application. Payment is only processed after a business is approved for listing. If an application is declined, no charge will be made. All payments are processed securely through our payment processor (Stripe).

Refund terms are as follows:

  • Annual listings. A pro-rated refund may be requested within thirty (30) days of payment, less any payment processing fees, by contacting us at info@ijustwanttolive.com. After 30 days, annual fees are non-refundable.

  • Multi-year listings (3, 5, or 10 years). Multi-year listings are non-refundable after the first 30 days. The discounted multi-year rate reflects the lock-in commitment; partial refunds are not available.

  • Founding Member first year. The first year of Founding Member listing is provided at no cost. Cancellation during the free year results only in removal of the listing.

8. Rate Increase Policy

The base annual listing rate is reviewed on a 3-year cycle and is increased on a pre-published schedule of approximately 15% every three years, subject to board approval at each review cycle. The full forward-looking rate schedule is published on the Site in our Transparency Gallery so that businesses can review the long-term cost profile of their commitment.

Existing members are protected from rate increases for the duration of any active multi-year plan; for annual members, any rate increase takes effect at the next renewal date with no less than 60 days' advance notice. Founding Member discount tiers, once earned, remain locked for the lifetime of continuous active membership.

9. Featured Banner Reservation (When Available)

From time to time we may offer a Daily Featured Business Reservation System allowing a listed business to reserve a single day of homepage banner placement. Reservations are first-come, first-served; once a day is booked and paid for, no other business may purchase that day. Reservation pricing is published on the Site and scales with current monthly traffic. Reservations are non-refundable once the reserved date has passed.

10. Certification Emblems and Trademarks

Listed businesses warrant that they hold any certification they request us to display, that the certification is current and in good standing at the time of listing, and that they have the right to authorize us to display the corresponding certification mark in connection with their listing. Businesses agree to notify us promptly if any displayed certification lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, and to indemnify us against any claim by a certifying body arising from a misrepresented or unauthorized display of a certification mark.

11. No Reviews, Ratings, or User-Generated Content

The Site does not currently offer user reviews, ratings, comments, or any other form of user-generated content. We may revisit this policy in the future; if we do, separate terms will apply.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site that is not provided by a listed business — including the directory design, the Site's text and educational content explaining certifications, the I Just Want and IJustWantToLive names, and the Audit Trail badge — is owned by I Just Want and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Listed businesses retain ownership of their own names, logos, marks, and content; by submitting them for listing, a business grants us a non-exclusive license to display them on the Site in connection with the listing for the duration of the listing.

13. Suspension or Removal of Listings

We may suspend or remove a listing at any time, with or without notice, if a business: (a) fails to maintain a valid certification it represents itself as holding; (b) is found to have submitted false or misleading information to us; (c) becomes subject to a substantiated pattern of consumer harm; (d) fails to pay applicable fees; or (e) violates these Terms or applicable law. Removal during a paid term may, at our discretion, result in a pro-rated refund or no refund, depending on the reason for removal.

14. Limitation of Liability

We do not test, inspect, or guarantee the quality or safety of any product or service offered by any listed business. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I Just Want and IJustWantToLive.com shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or from your interactions with any listed business.

15. Indemnification by Businesses

Each listed business agrees to indemnify and hold harmless I Just Want and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) any inaccuracy in information the business has submitted, (b) any misrepresentation of a certification, (c) any product or service the business sells, or (d) any violation of these Terms or applicable law by the business.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any matters arising from your use of the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Dakota, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Dakota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, internet service interruptions, third-party vendor outages, or labor disputes.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the Site for a reasonable period before they take effect. Continued use of the Site after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
